Functional Constipation Damp-heat Internal Pathogenesis Analysis And Clinical Efficacy Evaluation

Overview:Functional constipation is a common clinical disease of the digestive system.Its main symptoms contains less defecation,dry feces and difficulty in defecation.FC is a concept within the functional intestinal disease,so patients diagnosed of irritable bowel syndrome and those with abnormal morphological and biochemical abnormalities are not included.FC can be diagnosed according to positive symptoms by Rome 3 diagnostic criteria.prevalence rate ranks from.0.7%-79.0%and has positive correlation with age.The female have a higher prevalence than the male.Modern medicine thinks that FC is caused by many reasons,including diatary stucture,less intake of water,less exercise,sex and heredity.Objective:To investigate the main pathogenesis of functional constipation by analyzing the clinical characteristics of functional constipation and ancient literature,this study verified and evaluated the treatment of FC by using Traditional Chinese Medicine mainly constituted with Zhishidaozhi pill.Methods:By using prospective self contrast method.We selected 52 cases which consistent with traditional Chinese medical diagnostic criteria of damp-heat as well as western diagnostic criteria of FC,make observation on treating effect according to main symptoms of defecation difficult,stool traits,bearing down,frequency unfinished feeling dry mouth and abdominal distention Zhishidaozhi Pill are given 3 times a day half an hour after a meal,decocted in water for oral dose,each time for 200ml,and are asked to avoid spicy food,thick and greast food like meat,milk,eggs,seafood,etc.Fill the observation tables before treatment,1,2 and 4 weeks after treatment respectively.The effect of the treatment is valuacd by Symptom score.Results:After 1,2 and 4 weeks of treatment,the general effective rates are respectively 38.46%,65.38%and 86.54%.The statistical analysis showed that there is significant difference between the effective rates after 1,2 and 4 weeks of treatment.After 4 weeks of treatment,effective rates in character of stool is 84.44%;91.89 in difficulty;79.07%in frequency;86.36%in unfinished feeling and bearing down;79.17%in abdominal distention;77.78%in dry mouth.Statistical analysis shows that there is significant differences in the above 6 kinds of symptoms.Conclusion:1.Damp-Heat is one of the main pathogenesis of FC;2.The treatment has achieved the desired result by grasping of the main pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation and treatment and using Zhishidaozhi Pill.The overall cure rate of the treatment has achieved 13.46%,the obvious effective rate was 19.63%,the effective rate was 53.85%;the ineffecient rate was 13.46%.3.With the extension of treatment course,defecation difficult,stool traits,bearing down and unfinished feeling are improved progressively,other symptoms are improved significantly after 2-week’s treatment.
