Most of the endophytic fungi and their host plants always show the wonderfully collaborative and symbiotic effect,indicating that they are closely associated with each other.According to the literatures,the endophytic fungi could product secondary metabolites that are similar to the products of their host plants.In order to investigate the role of endophytic fungi in the secondary metabolites producted by the Aconitum carmichaelii,the chemical constiutuents of A.carmichaelii(host plants)and Penicillium roqueforti(its endophytic fungi)was studied.This dissertation is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly point to the chemical constituents of A.carmichaelii is the lateral root of perennial herb belong to Ranunculaceae Aconitum.Since the Han Dynasty,A.carmichaelii has been used for the treatment of emergency,critically ill and serious condition by the doctors because of its phamaceutical value.Modern pharmaceutical researches revealed that A.carmichaelii exbibited strong pesticide effect.In this study,a new C20-vakognavine diterpenoid alkaloids named carmichaedine(1),together with six known diterpenoid alkaloids aconitine(2),deoxyacontine(3),mesaconitine(4),hypaconitine(5),songorine(6)and 14-acetylneoline(7)were isolated from A.carmichaelii.Carmichaedine(1)shows strong antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis(IC50 = 8 ?g/mL),which was at the same grade as positive control kanamycin.The second chapter described the secondary metabolites from P.roqueforti,which is an endophytic fungus separated from A.carmichaelii.Eight compounds including three novel skeleton sesterterpenes peniroquesines A-C(1-3),and five know compounds,yanuthone B(4),4'-oxomacrophorin A(5),ergosterol(6),linoleic acid(7)and 24-ethylcholesta-4,24(28)-dien-3-one(8)were identified from this fungus.It's worthy to note that compounds 1-3 possessed unprecedented 5/6/5/6/5 ring system.Endophytic fungi are an important source of active compounds,and they are more likely to produce some chemical constituents that are similar to host plants.However,our study didn't observe the relationship between A.carmichaelii secondary metabolites and its endophytic fungi.In the last chapter,the sesterterpenes found in the last six years and their ioavtivities were reviewed.
