Objective: To grasp the development of traditional Chinese medicine paste prescription in Hunan Province,get the characteristics of the people who take the paste prescription in Hunan Province,and discuss the regularity and characteristics of the development of traditional Chinese medicine paste prescription through the research on the current situation of paste prescription development in Hunan Province.Through investigation and research,the problems faced by the development of paste industry in our province are found out,and the countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems are put forward,which can provide reference for policy making of paste industry.Methods: Take Hunan Traditional Chinese Medicine Medical Institutions as the research object,used the methods of retrospective study,questionnaire survey,telephone consultation and field investigation,we obtained information about the production,sales and users of traditional Chinese medicine ointment in Hunan Medical Institutions.The obtained information was classified and summarized,and the data were analyzed by EXCEL and SPSS software.Questionnaire design adopts the method of meeting discussion and expert inquiry,and the specific implementation of the questionnaire adopts the method of commissioned investigation and on-site investigation.In the comparison of various medical institutions and the classification of each question,this paper introduces the digital evaluation of the questionnaire,and sets different scores for different answers of the questionnaire,so as to make a unified comparison.Independent sample t-test was used to compare the sex of the users of ointment,and variance analysis was used to compare the age distribution of the users of ointment.Results: A total of 87 medical institutions with qualifications for preparation production were collected.Through telephone consultation,27 medical institutions that have already carried out paste business were identified.17 third-class A hospitals and 10 second-class A hospitals have carried out paste business in medical institutions.According to the development of paste business in medical institutions,10 representative medical institutions were selected for questionnaire survey and successful recovery.Questionnaire was conducted and the recovery rate was 67.1%.This research designed three sets of questionnaires,which were used to investigate the development of paste recipe,the production and processing status of paste recipe and the group characteristics of users.Research and development found that in the past five years,the business volume of paste in medical institutions in our province has increased nearly twice,with an annual output value of more than 20 million yuan.The sales volume of paste in Changsha urban area has accounted for more than 70% of the province,of which the First Affiliated Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine has accounted for more than 50% of the province’s share.The first and second affiliated hospitals of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine rank the top two in the comprehensive ranking of paste business volume and processing conditions.The lower hospitals have problems such as inadequate training of medical technicians,weak promotion,lack of production operating procedures and lax material control.A retrospective study on the prescription of ointment in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine found that the female users of ointment from 2013 to 2018 were 1.4:1,1.3:1,1.5:1,2.2:1,4.7:1 and 4.7:1,respectively.Comparisons among the age groups of plaster prescriptions: youth > middle age > childhood,old age and adolescents,among which the youth and middle age groups accounted for 81%,82%,81%,84%,92% and 92% respectively in the six years of 2013-2018.By comparing the changes of paste prescription quantity in different seasons,we found that the use of paste prescription has obvious seasonal characteristics,winter > autumn > summer > spring.According to the distribution of departments,the prescriptions of ointment mainly come from preventive treatment center,gynecology,veteran department,internal medicine,spleen and stomach department and pediatrics department.Questionnaire survey of medical institutions in the province found that 33.7% of the purchases of ointment prescriptions were for the purpose of treating diseases,62.8% for health care,3.3% for disease prevention and 1.5% for the others;69.5% of people knew the sources of ointment prescriptions(optional),27.1% for doctors,6.1% for friends,6.1% for media advertisements and 7.0% for Internet publicity.The monthly income level of the people who buy ointment prescriptions(yuan/month),<5000 accounted for 31.5%,5000-10,000 accounted for 55.4%,10000-20,000 accounted for 11.5%,and more than 20,000 accounted for 16%.Conclusion:In recent years,the paste business of traditional Chinese medicine medical institutions in our province has grown steadily from zero to more,and has served the public health effectively.But at the same time,there are some problems,such as unbalanced regional development,inconsistent standards of production and quality control,and unsatisfactory efficacy of some ointments.Therefore,it is necessary to train a group of medical technicians who can distinguish physique,understand prescription and make it for grass-roots medical institutions to solve the problem of regional imbalance in the development of ointment;it is necessary to issue industry guidelines for the production of ointment to standardize the production and quality control of ointment;it is necessary to strengthen the accuracy of dialectical treatment to ensure the effectiveness of ointment.Medical institutions,aiming at the female group as the main consumer,can focus on cultivating some kinds of ointment prescriptions which have definite curative effect on common gynecological diseases to meet the needs of women.In order to achieve the best results,the propaganda and promotion work of hospitals should also put the target season in winter.At the same time,according to the local economic conditions,different regions should reasonably formulate paste price,implement high quality and fair price to serve people with different income levels.
