| Background:Graves disease is a common endocrine and metabolic disease.It is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism.Uric acid and blood lipid levels are significantly associated with the risk of various diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.Their metabolism can be affected by many factors,and thyroid function may have an important influence on their metabolism.There have been many studies on uric acid and blood lipid levels in patients with hypothyroidism,but there are few studies on the relationship between thyroid function and uric acid and blood lipids in patients with hyperthyroidism and the conclusions are contradictory.Objective:This research is to study the changes of uric acid and blood lipids in patients with hyperthyroidism caused by Graves disease,and analyzed the correlation between thyroid function and uric acid and blood lipids in patients with hyperthyroidism.Method:A total of 37 patients who were diagnosed with Graves disease(GD)were enrolled in the outpatient department of the Department of Endocrinology and Nuclear Medicine in our hospital from May 2017 to March 2019.The average age of patients with GD was(37.62±12.17)years old,including 28 women and 9 men.In the control group,72 healthy subjects were enrolled in the physical examination from February 2019 to March 2019.The average age of control group was(41.79±9.45)years old,including 54 females and 18 males.There was no significant difference in age and gender between the hyperthyroidism group and the control group.All patients with hyperthyroidism and physical examination have no definitive diagnosis of diabetes,hypertension,heart disease,kidney disease,and tumors.The case data,including the thyroid function,uric acid,blood lipid level and basic data of the patients were retrospectively analyzed.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0 software.The continuity data of the normal distribution was expressed by the median mean distribution±standard deviation(X±S).Differences between the two groups were compared using the t test.The continuity data of the abnormal distribution was expressed by the median(interquartile range P25,P75),and the difference comparison was performed by the rank sum test.The detection rate of hyperuricemia was expressed by frequency(%),and the difference between the two groups was compared by chi-square test.Data correlation analysis was performed using Pearson and Spearman correlation analysis.Based on the results of the single factor analysis,multiple variables were analyzed for multiple regression analysis.P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Result:1.The UA level was elevated in patients with hyperthyroidism caused by Graves disease,and the detection rate of hyperuricemia was increased.The detection rate of uric acid level and hyperuricemia in female patients was 245.31±47.97μmol/L(P<0.001),17.9%(P<0.05),with respectively statistical differences.2.The levels of TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,ApoAl and ApoB in patients with hyperthyroidism were significantly lower,while the levels of serum TG and Lp(a)were not significantly different from those in the normal group.3.In patients with hyperthyroidism,FT3 was positively correlated with UA and negatively correlated with TC,LDL-C and ApoAl.FT4 was positively correlated with UA and negatively correlated with TC,LDL-C,ApoB and Lp(a).Conclusion:1.Uric acid and the detection rate of hyperuricemia in patients with hyperthyroidism are increased,and the uric acid in female patients was more easily affected by thyroid function.2.FT3 and FT4 in female were positively correlated with UA,while TSH was negatively correlated with UA.UA were more easily affected by thyroid hormone in female hyperthyroidism.3.The levels of TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,ApoAl and ApoB were significantly lower in patients with hyperthyroidism,but there was no significant change of serum TG and Lp(a)levels.There was a negative correlation between FT3 and TC,LDL-C and ApoAl,and FT4 was negatively correlated with TC,LDL-C,ApoB and Lp(a).4.For patients with hyperthyroidism,routine monitoring of uric acid and blood lipid levels is necessary. |
