Meta-analysis On The Treatment Of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy By The Traditional Chinese Medicine Compound Prescription Based On The Liver Theory

Purpose:Systematic evaluation of the efficacy of Chinese herbal compound in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)from liver theory.Method:Randomized or quasi-randomized controlled trials(RCTs or q-RCTs)of the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy from the Chinese herbal compound treated with liver were identified from CBM(1978-2009),CNKI(1994-2009),VIP(1989-2009),Pub Med(1966-2009).all searches are up to October 31,2017.In accordance with the bias risk assessment tool provided by the Cochrane cooperation network,the biased risk assessment of the included literature research and the extraction of effective data are carried out.Then,Rev Man 5.3 software was used for meta-analysis.Odds ratio(OR)for counting data and mean difference(MD)for continuous data was elected,Each effect is given a 95% confidence interval(CI).Results:A total of 17 RCTs and q-RCTs of the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy from the Chinese herbal compound treated with liver involving 1177 patients were included.Meta-analyses showed that:(1)Nerve conduction velocity: Compared with the traditional Chinese medicine compound Mecobalamin tablets,improved median nerve motor conduction velocity of [MD=3.86,95%CI(-0.44,8.17)],median nerve conduction velocity of [MD=2.46,95%CI(-0.17,5.09)] the curative effect quite(P<0.05).Compound traditional Chinese medicine combined with Mecobalamin tablets improved median nerve motor conduction velocity of [MD=1.76,95%CI(0.55,2.96)],median nerve conduction velocity of [MD=2.82,95%CI(1.51,4.14)] the curative effect is better(P<0.05).Compared with the traditional Chinese medicine compound Mecobalamin tablets,improve peroneal nerve motor conduction velocity [MD=2.80,95%CI(1.55,4.06)],common peroneal nerve conduction velocity [MD=3.39,95%CI(2.14,4.63)],tibial nerve motor conduction velocity [MD=2.08,95%CI(1.10,3.05)],tibial nerve conduction velocity [MD=3.07,95%CI(0.61,5.54)] the curative effect is better(P<0.05).(2)Total effectiveness of clinical efficacy: Compared with Mecobalamin tablets,clinical medicine have higher overall efficiency[OR=4.35,95%CI(3.04,6.24)](P<0.05).(3)VAS score: Compared with the tablets of duloxetine hydrochloride,the VAS score of Chinese herbal compound is [MD=-16.05,95%CI(-19.31,-12.79)] lower,and has more advantages in relieving pain(P<0.05).(4)TCSS score: compared with Mecobalamin tablets,compound TCSS score [MD=-2.11,95%CI(-3.31,-0.92)] lower,more advantages in improving symptoms and signs(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with Mecobalamin tablets from the liver of compound Chinese medicine treatment in improving the nerve conduction velocity equivalent efficacy even better.Compared with Mecobalamin tablets,compound Chinese medicine treatment on the alleviation of clinical symptoms and signs in effect better in the liver.
