Observation Of The Clinical Efficacy Of The Method Of Strengthening The Spleen And Removing Dampness In The Treatment Of Diastolic Heart Failure

Objective:It is the decoction that is created by Pro.Zhang yan,which promotes to invigorate the spleen and eliminate the dampness.The decoction is used in the treatment of individuals who have been diagnosed as Diastolic Heart Failure(DHF).These individuals also have syndrome of damp retention due to spleen deficiency.The research should be aimed to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of those individuals with Diastolic Heart Failure by using the method of invigorating the spleen and eliminating the dampness,which contributes to providing a new thought and a new method for treating Diastolic Heart Failure from the view of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).Methods: The total number of the subjects is 80.Not only those subjects meet a criterion of diagnosis of diastolic heart failure which is provided by guideline,but also they all have the syndrome of damp retention due to spleen deficiency.These subjects are divided into two groups randomly,which are named as control group and treatment group.(The total number of individuals in each group is 40.)The principle of treatment of control group stems from European Society of Cardiology(ESC)in 2016,including agents such as ACE inhibitors,Beta-blockers and aldosterone antagonist.The principle of treatment of treatment group is not only based on the control group,but also taking the decoction which is aimed to invigorate the spleen and eliminate the dampness.After 4 weeks,we investigate the changes of TCM symptoms;New York Heart Association functional class;E/e'?left ventricular end-diastolic dimension and left atrial dimension(These three indicators measured by Doppler echocardiography)and make a comparison to pre treatment.Results:After the procedure,the definitive study is 71 cases,which means there are 9cases have dropped,including 3 cases in control group and 6 cases in treatment group.Regarding to TCM symptoms,the total effectiveness of treatment group is 88.2%,while the total effectiveness in control group is 75.7%.The treatment group is better than control group.Regarding to New York Heart Association functional class,the treatment group is superior than control group,whose total effectiveness is 73.5%,while the total effectiveness in control group is 59%.Nonetheless,the E/e'?left ventricular end-diastolic dimension and left atrial dimension of both treatment group and control group which are measured by Doppler echocardiography are significantly improved than before.Conclusions: It is the decoction that assist to invigorate the spleen and eliminate the dampness is more beneficial for patients,by the view of the improvement of TCM symptoms,heart function and the quality of life for those patients with Diastolic Heart Failure,compared with the control group,which only taking western medicines.
