Research purposes: Efficacy and safety of elemene injection as an adjuvant therapy for NSCLC were systematically evaluated to provide evidence-based medical evidence for TCM treatment of NSCLC.Research methods: In this study, computer systems were used to search the databases of Web of Science,PubMed,FMJS,Cochrane Library,China Biomedical Literature Database(CBM),Chongqing VIP Database,CNKI and Wan Fang Data Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of carnotine in combination with chemotherapeutic agents for NSCLC.The search time was set up from each database to July 2017.Two researchers independently extracted the data and evaluated the quality of the documents respectively.Meta-analysis was performed using ReviewManager 5.3 software, which included 20 RCTs and the total number of cases was 1581 example.Research result:(1)Compared with simple chemotherapy drugs, elemene injection combined with chemotherapy drugs can improve the patient's disease response rate, the difference was statistically significant(OR = 2.07,95% CI: 1.65-2.61,P <0.00001).(2)Compared with simple chemotherapy drugs, elemene injection combined with chemotherapy drugs can improve the quality of life of patients(OR = 3.10,95% CI: 2.34-4.10,P <0.00001)Significance of learning.?(3)Compared with simple chemotherapy drugs, elemene injection combined with chemotherapy drugs can reduce leukopenia(OR = 0.47,95% CI: 0.35-0.63,P <0.001)0.30,95% CI: 0.19 ~ 0.49,P <0.001)and reduce the gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea and vomiting(OR = 0.47,95% CI: 0.29-0.78,P = 0.003).The difference was statistically significant.ln conclusion: 1.This analysis suggests that elemene injection can significantly improve the efficacy of platinum-based chemotherapy drugs.2.This analysis suggests that chemotherapy combined with elemene injection for non-small cell lung cancer can improve the quality of life of patients.3.This analysis suggests that elemene injection can reduce the incidence of myelosuppression and gastrointestinal reactions caused by chemotherapeutic agents.4.This analysis suggests that Elemene injection does not reduce the incidence of abnormal liver function, abnormal renal function, and phlebitis in patients.
