A Retrospective Study Of Jiawei Shenshuai Recipe In The Treatment Of CKD 2-4 Stages Of Spleen And Kidney Deficiency And Dampness, Turbidity And Stasis

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Jiawei Shenshuai Decoction in treating CKD 2-4 stage TCM syndrome which belongs to deficiency of both spleen and kidney combined with dampness,turbidity and Stasis Toxin syndrome,to explore the characteristics of TCM pathogenesis and the rule of syndrome and treatment,and to put forward new ideas for TCM differentiation and treatment of chronic kidney disease.Material and methodIn this paper,a retrospective study was conducted to select 58 cases who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria from October 2016 to October 2018 in the outpatient department of nephrology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.They were included in the treatment group and the control group according to the different treatment methods.Among them,31 cases were included in the treatment group,while 27 cases were included in the control group.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The curative effect was evaluated by observing the changes of symptoms,signs and laboratory indicators such as serum creatinine(Scr),urea nitrogen(BUN)and estimated glomerular filtration rate(e GFR)before and after treatment.Data analysis using SPSS 22.0 software.Results1.Therapeutic effect of TCM syndromesAfter treatment,the total effective rate was 93.55% in the treatment group and 62.96% in the control group.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).2.Indicators of renal functionThe levels of serum creatinine and urea nitrogen in the treatment group and the control group were significantly decreased,and the glomerular filtration rate was significantly increased,and the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).3.Disease curative effectAfter treatment,the total effective rate was 90.32% in the treatment group and 70.37% in the control group.There was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).4.Safety indicatorsThe general vital signs and liver function(ALT,AST,GGT)of the two groups had no significant fluctuation before and after treatment and were within the normal range.It shows that Jiawei Kidney Failure Prescription is reasonable,effective and safe.Conclusion1.Jiawei Shenshuai Decoction can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of CKD stage 2-4 patients with deficiency of both spleen and kidney and dampness,turbidity and stasis toxin,significantly reduce the levels of serum creatinine and urea nitrogen,significantly improve glomerular filtration rate,with definite curative effect,safety and non-toxicity.2.This study considers that deficiency of both spleen and kidney and dampness,turbidity and Stasis Toxin are the key pathogenesis of CKD2-4,and puts forward the combined application of three methods,i.e.detoxification,detoxification under the guidance of circumstances and strengthening vital energy to resist toxicity,so as to achieve the goal of slowing down the progress of chronic kidney disease.
