Purpose:To study the clinical literature on the TCM diagnosis and treatment of hyperuricemia via reviewing and sorting literature documents and to summarize the core medications used in hyperuricemia in order to guide the clinical practice. Methods:A total of 157 papers that met the inclusion criteria were selected into the study, and these clinical documents were collected and sorted out in China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI)from December 1,2008 to December 1,2018 with respect to the treatment of hyperuricemia with traditional Chinese medicine. The diagnosis and treatment rules in the treatment of hyperuricemia with traditional Chinese medicine were investigated using frequency analysis.Results:1.The results of drug frequency analysis showed that the treatment of hyperuricemia with traditional Chinese medicine involved 141 herbs, which were used 2188 times. There were 42 kinds of Chinese herbs whose administration frequency was more than 20 times.Among them, the highest frequency of application of the top 20 Chinese herbal medicines included rhizoma smilacis glabrae, rhizoma dioscoreae hypoglaucae, plantain seed, coix seed, rhizoma atractylodis, rhizome alismatis, salvia miltiorrhiza, pseudobulbus cremastrae seu pleiones, lysimachia christinae hance, bighead atractylodes rhizome, rheum officinale, clematis root, herba siegesbeckiae, poria cocos, achyranthes bidentata, radices paeoniae alba, liquorice, fringed pink, cortex phellodendri and astragalus mongholicus according to the frequency of occurrence.2.The drug attribute classification of 42 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines whose frequencies were more than 20 times was carried out.According to the frequency of occurrence from high to low, these herbs consist of diuretics for eliminating dampness,heat-clearing drugs, tonifying drugs, drugs for invigorating blood circulation and eliminating stasis, drugs for dispelling wind-dampness,and drugs for dissipating dampness.3.Doctors highly focused on the three natures of cold, warm and slight cold when selecting medicines, with a cumulative frequency of 71.43%,of which the medicine with cold nature was accounting for 28.57%,warm nature for 26.19%,slightly cold nature for 16.67%.4.From the clinical results, the drugs that were taken by the patients with hyperuricemia were delivered in different meridians and collaterals all over the body, and the specific distribution was significantly different. The drugs belonging to spleen meridian ranked first, followed by liver meridian, stomach meridian and kidney meridian. The cumulative frequency of the four groups was 63.64%.5.In terms of drug correlation, doctors prefer the combination of rhizoma smilacis glabrae and rhizoma dioscoreae hypoglaucae.Conclusion:1.Among the drugs for treating hyperuricemia, the drugs with more sweet and bitter properties are mostly selected, and the spleen, liver, stomach and kidney meridians are selected for meridian tropism.2.In the prescription of hyperuricemia,"exorcism and invigoration" is its main therapeutic principle,of which diuretic, diuretic, antipyretic and tonic are most widely used.3.In the compatibility of medicines for treating hyperuricemia,Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae-Rhizoma Dioscoreae Septemlobae is the most important compatibility combination, and Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae-Semen Plantaginis and Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae-Coicis Semen are also used many times.
