Objective: Tension balance massage is a massage therapy based on the theory of tension balance acupuncture, which is used to treat spastic cerebral palsy and to observe its clinical effect and its effect on children's gross motor function.in order to provide a non-invasive,painless,more acceptable and effective treatment for children, and provide a basis for clinical application. Methods: Sixty children with spastic cerebral palsy who met the inclusion criteria were numbered according to the order of visiting time. The children were stratified according to their age(24-48 months and 49-72 months),and then the children of the two age groups were randomly divided into the observation group(n = 30)and the control group(n = 30)according to the proportion of 1:1.Finally,53 effective cases were completed, including 27 cases in the observation group and 26 cases in the control group. The observation group was given tension balance massage and the control group was given tension balance acupuncture. The basic treatment plan of the two groups was the same. The patients were treated once a day for 5 days a week with an interval of 2 days for a total of 12 weeks. The scores of modified Ashworth spasticity scale,GMFM-88 scale and comprehensive function score of disabled children were used as observation indexes to evaluate the effect of improving spasticity and gross motor function and the overall clinical effect.Results:1.Comparison of the scores of modified Ashworth spasm scale between the two groups:(1)At the end of the 6th week, compared with those before treatment, the scores of the modified Ashworth scale decreased in both groups, but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05,P > 0.05),indicating that the improvement of muscle tension in children with spastic cerebral palsy was not significantly improved by the two treatments at the end of the 6th week.(2)Compared with those before treatment, the score of modified Ashworth scale decreased significantly in both groups after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01),indicating that both treatments could significantly improve the muscle tension of children at the end of the 12 th week.(3)There was no significant difference in the modified Ashworth score between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the effect of tension balance massage on improving muscle tension was similar to that of tension balance acupuncture.2.Comparison of GMFM-88 scores between the two groups:(1)At the end of the 6th week, compared with those before treatment, the GMFM-88 scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P < 0.05,P < 0.05).At the end of the 12 th week, the GMFM-88 scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01,P < 0.01),indicating that the two treatments have shown the effect of improving the gross motor function of children with spastic cerebral palsy at the end of the 6th week, and the effect of the two treatments on improving the gross motor function of children is more obvious at the end of treatment.(2)There was no significant difference in GMFM-88 score between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the effect of tension balance massage on improving gross motor function was similar to that of tension balance acupuncture.3.Comparison of comprehensive function scores of disabled children between the two groups before and after treatment:(1)Compared with those before treatment, the comprehensive function scores of disabled children in the two groups increased after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01,P < 0.01).The results showed that both treatments could significantly improve the comprehensive function of children.(2)There was no significant difference in the comprehensive function score between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the effect of tension balance massage on improving children's comprehensive function was similar to that of tension balance acupuncture.4.Comparison of the overall clinical efficacy between the two groups: the total effective rate of the observation group was 92.6%,and that of the control group was 96.15%.There was no significant difference in the overall clinical efficacy between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating that the overall clinical effects of the two treatments were similar. Conclusion:Tension balance massage in the treatment of spastic cerebral palsy can effectively reduce muscle tension, reduce spasticity, improve gross motor function, enhance the level of comprehensive function, alleviate clinical symptoms and promote the rehabilitation of limb function.the overall effect is similar to that of tension balance acupuncture.Tension balance massage is non-invasive,painless and easier to be accepted by children and their parents, which is worthy of clinical application and further study.
