Objective To compare the difference between percutaneous kyphoplasty and Vesselplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures in the postoperative recurrence of vertebral fractures, and analyze the related risk factors of the two procedure of recurrence of vertebral fractures. Methods It's a retrospective comparative study.According to the procedure, the patients were divided into Percutaneous kyphoplasty group(P group)and Vesselplasty group(V group),and the observation data was recorded. To compare the difference of the observation data and the rate of new vertebral compression fracture between the two groups. In the two groups, single factor analysis was conducted, then binary logistic regression analysis was conducted to analyze the single factor with statistical significance. Results A total of 236 patients were included, including 52 males and 184 females, aged 75.77±10.24 years, and there was no statistical difference between the two groups. The volume of bone cement in group P was less than that in group V(P=0.011),the leakage rate of bone cement(P=0.043)and the intervertebral leakage rate were higher than that in group V(P=0.013).There was no significant difference in refracture rate between the two groups(P=0.223).Logistic regression analysis showed that t value of BMD was the only influencing factor(P<0.05),which was negative correlation(B<0).Conclusion For single segment OVCF,there is no significant difference in the rate of new vertebral compression fracture between Percutaneous kyphoplasty and Vesselplasty.Low BMD is the only risk factor of new vertebral compression fracture after percutaneous kyphoplasty and Vesselplasty, which may be the result of the natural progress of osteoporosis.
