Purpose:The aim of this study is to observe Cang Fu Dao Tan decoction combined with acupuncture to treat Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS)of phlegm dampness block syndrome,Acupuncture combined Decoction group and Decoction group were compared to observe the TCM syndrome score,Menstruation score,BMI,Waist hip ratio,Serum Testosterone(T)of the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome of phlegm dampness block syndrome, and to choose a more efficient and less side effects treatment.Material and method:60 patients with PCOS diagnosed by Taditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine were selected from the Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine Hospital outpatient department. They were randomly divided into two groups: Decoction group and Acupuncture combined Decoction group,30 cases in each group, treat with three months. The Decoction group was treated with Cang Fu Dao Tan decoction, and the Acupuncture combined Decoction group was treated with Cang Fu Dao Tan decoction and combined with acupuncture,TCM syndrome score,Menstruation score,BMI,Waist hip ratio,Serum Testosterone(T)were observed and recorded between the two groups. The result were compared the after treatment. Results: 1.The age and course of disease of the two groups were tested P > 0.05,there was no statistical difference, with comparability.2.Menstrual score and TCM syndrome score: before treatment, the menstrual score of the two groups was tested to be p > 0.05,without significant statistical difference, which was comparable;after treatment, the menstrual score of the two groups was tested to be p < 0.05,which was statistically different, indicating that the two groups were effective in improving the menstruation of polycystic ovary syndrome with phlegm dampness block. The effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group,is better than the Decoction group. Before treatment, the TCM syndrome score of the two groups was tested to be p > 0.05,without significant statistical difference, which was comparable;after treatment, the menstrual score of the two groups was tested to be p < 0.05,which was statistically different, indicating that the two groups were effective in TCM syndrome score of polycystic ovary syndrome with phlegm dampness block. The effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group,is better than the Decoction group.3.BMI and waist to hip ratio: BMI in both groups decreased significantly after treatment compared with that before treatment,P < 0.05 after test, with statistical significance, both groups were effective. After treatment,P < 0.05 was tested, which was statistically significant. It was proved that in decrease of BMI,Acupuncture combined Decoction group is better than the Decoction group. There was no significant statistical difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).4.Serum Testosterone(T): There was no significant statistical difference between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05),but the data was comparable;there was statistical difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05),which indicated that the two groups were effective in reducing serum Testosterone. After treatment, there was statistical significance between the two groups(P < 0.05).It was proved that the Acupuncture combined Decoction group in reducing serum testosterone has better effect than the Decoction group.5.Curative rate for TCM syndrome: the total clinical effective rate of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is 90%,and Decoction group group is 73%.The total clinical therapeutic efficiency of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is significantly higher than the Decoction group(P < 0.05),the difference is statistically significant, indicating that The results showed that the therapeutic effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group was better than the Decoction group.6.Curative rate for menstrual symptoms: the total clinical effective rate of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is 80%,and Decoction group group is 66%.The total clinical therapeutic efficiency of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is significantly higher than the Decoction group(P < 0.05),the difference is statistically significant, indicating that The results showed that the therapeutic effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group was better than the Decoction group. Conclusion: Cangfu Daotan Decoction combined with acupuncture has obvious curative effect in improving menstruation,TCM syndrome,BMI and Waist to Hip ratio. In improving menstruation and TCM syndrome, the effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is significantly better than Decoction group; In deducing BMI,the effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is better than the Decoction group; In deducing Waist to Hip ratio, the effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is better than the Decoction group; In deducing Serum Testosterone, the effect of Acupuncture combined Decoction group is better than the Decoction group; The TCM syndrome effective rate was 90% in the Acupuncture combined Decoction group and 73% in the Decoction group. The menstrual symptoms effective rate was 80% in the Acupuncture combined Decoction group and 66% in the Decoction group.Cangfu Daotan decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of phlegm dampness block syndrome patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, the overall effect is better than simply using Cangfu Daotan decoction,it is worth clinical promotion.
