Chinese puppet show,which has a long history,occupies a unique and important position in the culture and art history of China and the world.Yangzhou is one of the cradles of Chinese puppetry,especially the rod-puppet,playing a unique role in the Chinese puppetry.In 2006,Yangzhou rod-puppet art was selected for the representative list of national and provincial intangible cultural heritage.After several generation's inheritance and development,Yangzhou rod-puppet show started "gentleness,exquisite and vivid" artistic style,presented the "wasn't real,more real" artistic effect on the stage,and became the most valuable cultural heritage of Chinese drama.At present,Yangzhou rod-puppet art has obtained the unprecedented development and outstanding performance,which is the result of joint efforts of many people.Xue Husheng,who is famous for exquisite carving skills of folk artists,is one of the excellent representatives.Xue Husheng steps up to the responsibility for inheriting Yangzhou rod-puppet culture using colourful puppets hand model and hand making skill.The documentary "Kung Fu of Hand" centers in "inheriting the national culture,carrying forward the spirit",sticks to "craft",aims at the craft life of the ordinary artisan people-Xue Husheng,and creates images of the documentary from the protagonist's interpretation and interpretation of folk crafts.This paper mainly addresses the creative practice of documentary,uses the analysis of combination of theory and practice,raises the individuality of Xue Husheng to the level of cultural heritage and modern change.The article contains five chapters:the first chapter is introduction,which briefly introduces and analyzes the creation background,creation significance,creative thinking and research status of the documentary "Kong Fu of Hand".The second chapter is the elaboration of the content of the works,including the theme of the work,the selection of the characters,the narrative strategy and the embodiment of the work style.The third and fourth chapters are the key chapters of this paper,which analyzes the technical and artistic aspects in detail.In technical level,this part expresses the process of creation and completion of the works from the shooting process,the way of shooting,the interview of the characters,the editing and the color palette.In artistic aspect,the part interprets the film from the perspective of visual language and the auditory language.The fifth chapter presents the experience of documentary creation,that provides a certain reference for the documentary creation of the same genre through the process of tease production and loss.The documentary "Kung Fu of Hand" shows the general workman-Xue Husheng,who is expert in exquisite carving and has the spirit of craftsman of pour into life.It is intended to convey the audience the important role of folk artists in the protection of traditional cultural heritage and arouse people's attention to folk handicrafts so as to promote the better development of Chinese traditional culture.
