| Puppetry,also known as "puppet show",is a kind of drama in which actors manipulate puppets to perform stories.In China,puppet show has a history of more than 2,000 years,and its performances have been performed in various provinces and municipalities.The local characteristics of puppet show are distinct.At present,puppet show in Shanghai is still an indispensable part of the cultural performance market.This paper investigates the living conditions of Shanghai puppet show in recent years,tries to outline the ecological outline of Shanghai puppet show,and looks forward to the future development direction of this kind of play.At present,the puppet theatre performance groups in Shanghai are characterized by the tripartite situation of state-owned theatre troupe,private theatre troupe and pioneer experimental studio.In terms of market share,state-owned troupes always occupy the largest proportion,while the performance volume of private troupes gradually flattened after rapid growth.As far as the content of the performance is concerned,the traditional themes based on Chinese ancient myths and Western classical fairy tales far exceed the newly compiled original plays and pioneer stage practice in recent years,and become the mainstream of the market.From the perspective of audience analysis,children audience is always the main body of the market.The performance of Pioneer Experimental Group is mainly aimed at adult audiences and becomes the touchstone of the future development direction of Shanghai puppet show.Shanghai-style urban culture is inclusive and competitive.Shanghai puppet show is facing the problems of relatively scarce repertoire,biased recognition of characteristic and lack of creative talents.Through investigation,this paper finds out the problems and challenges in Shanghai puppet show market,and tries to put forward corresponding opinions and suggestions for the inheritance and development of puppet show,an ancient traditional drama genre in the contemporary era. |
