From History To Film And Television Drama: A Study On The Evolution Of Xuanzang's Image

Xuanzang was a great buddhist scholar during the tang dynasty.Since the tang dynasty,before the advent of film and television media,people's understanding and understanding of xuan zang mostly came from written records,which included historical materials as well as novels and plays.In the context of different periods of history,the image of xuan zang adapted by different literary works,until the Ming dynasty novel"journey to the west" in the tang's monk,xuan zang,a historical figure,image has changed into literary works in the literature.With the development of film and television technology,the expression of artistic image has become more and more diversified,and the text has been transformed into a picture.Tang's monk has completed another transmutation of the image of xuan zang in the cross-media context.Based on the archetype of xuanzang in history,this paper studies the transmutation of xuanzang's image from history to literature and from literary works to films and TV series.The first chapter analyzes how xuan zang's image is transformed from historical archetype to literary image in historical context.The second chapter aims at the turning point of the evolution of xuan zang's image,and analyzes the construction and cultural reasons of xuanzang's classic film and television image brought by the novel "journey to the west".The third chapter mainly analyzes the diversity of the character of xuanzang in the media of film and television,in the post-modern context.In the fourth chapter,the text of the film"xuanzang" is the object of interpretation,and the regression of xuanzang's film and television image to the historical prototype is analyzed.The fifth chapter combines the evolution of xuanzang's image in different text contexts and different film and TV works,and analyzes the enlightenment of literary and film adaptation of historical figures on the development of literature and film and television.Historical figures,the literary film adaptation is an enduring problem,this article will to xuan zang image by historical figures into literary image again into the film and television image researches in this evolution process,and try to analyze the evolution process of the characters,the correlation of the adaptation of cultural context and characters in order to improve the future of the film and television creation.
