Erhu concerto “River in Sping”? is a ternary form with intor+coda and reduced representation. After two bars of the intro comes the first part,“Allegro vivace”,which is divided into paragraph A,B and C,and is consist of 89 bars. The second part is Andante cantabile, which is divided into Paragraph D,D' and the connecting paragraph, and there are altogether 67 bars. The third part is the representation of allegro, which is also the reduced representation of paragraph A,and it is consist of 27 bars altogether. There are 19 bars in coda. The musical mode and tonality of “River in Sping” is very flexible, which switches easily among D major,G major,d minor and g minor. From the description about Hui Chong's life,I have learnt the painting skills and creation course of Hui Chong's work “Sping River at Dusk”.From the historical materials about poet Su Shi's rough life experiences,I have understood the writing backgroud and his emotional connotation when he wrote the poem “Hui Chong's Spring River at Dusk”.Through his extensive field work and practical experiences, composer Jin Fuzai conbined traditional national music and Su Shi's poem conception togerther and composed his classic conerto “River in Sping”,which is known for its rich rhythm, changeful beats and numerous acoustic finger picking. When we play “River in Sping”,the key and difficult points are the utilization of breath and left-hand finger tricks,as well as the association of linear thinking. Its beautiful and flowing melody requires seamless conversion,so we have to control breath better?,the utilization of skills like portamento, trill, appoggiature, leaps, pressing and rubbing not only enrich its enunciation and tone, but also increase the performance difficulty.“River in Sping” combines the musical aesthetic features and the imagery of poem.Performers can make association from different senses and swith music score into linear graphs, thus they can play fully according to the features of linear melody.Through the analysis of “River in Sping”,my intention is to broaden the current research about this work,to encourage more music majors to work on this research,to excavate its connotation and to draw the attention of people to our traditional national music.Though the world is changing all the time, but the national one is also the international one.I hope this thesis could shed some light on the research ideas and methods of composers who create similar musical works.
