The Influence Of Christianity On Contemporary Rural Families In Central Plains

Central Plains refer to the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Areas around Luoyang and Kaifeng,which was embraced by mountains from north,west and south side,while,North China Plain located at its middle east.The Yellow River which is called the cradle of Chinese ethnic peoples runs through it from west to east.Central Plains not only owns important strategic location,but nurtures Chinese culture."Filial Piety" is regard as one kind of quintessence among Chinese culture.This thesis aims to do research about the development of Christianity in the Central Plains areas,it combines interviewing method and qualitative research to dig the details of Christians' behaviors when their mundane lives confront with their belief.Through exploring the mutual effect between Christianity and the rural Christian's family relationship and lives,I can estimate the influence that Christianity brought to the rural society.The whole thesis can be divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction part,it introduces the background,the aim and meaning of this topic,and also it sketches out those former researches about rural Christianity and Christian families.The second part describe the geographical environment of the Central Plains areas and country R,and focus on the different sacrificial rituals of different sides of mountains.The third part is showing the origin,location,development of Christianity and psychology of religion.While,the forth part provides the objects and method to support the whole thesis.The fifth part is the core part of this article,it elaborates the specific cases to analyze how Christianity effect the country family relationship.Those cases include parents 'guide towards children's belief,the influence of the value of religion towards secularization,Christian's attitude towards marriage and how Christian protect those suffering families,these cases show the advantages and disadvantages of the influence of Christianity.The last part summarizes the reasons of the development of Christianity and its effect to rural families,also it shows the meaning of the sinicization of Christianity...
