In the 6th to 8th centuries AD,in addition to the large number of people from the northern ethnic groups who migrated southward, there were also many Central Plains people who went northward to Mobei.Their move northward had an impact on the agricultural and pastoral situation at that time to a certain extent. This paper takes time as a clue, mainly based on the change of the Central Plains dynasties, while taking into account the power ups and downs of the Turkic Khanate, and explores the process and characteristics of the northern migration of the Central Plains in different periods. It not only analyzes the northward activities of different groups in the Central Plains, but also explores the role and influence of certain people’s northward migration in different periods from the perspective of individual cases,in order to have a complete and clear understanding of the various activities of the Central Plains people’s move north to Turk from the Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties.People from the Central Plains entered the Turks in the following situations: during peacetime, the Central Plains and the Turks mainly conducted friendly exchanges through envoys, business, and marriage.During the turbulent period in the Central Plains, the Han people took the initiative to flee or escape disaster.Seek survival in relatively safe places such as the Northland. At the same time, during the entire period of the Turkic Khanate, the Central Plains people passively entered the Turks due to captivity. The constant changes in the situation between the Central Plains and the grassland led to increased mobility of people from the north to the south(agriculture and nomadic husbandry)during this period, and the people who flowed northward into the grassland included the upper-class nobles and the lower-class people, and their movement had an impact on the situation of both farming and nomadism.Limited to the lack of Turkic literature, this paper is mainly based on the records of Chinese literature.Almost all the documents handed down from the Central Plains are based on their own perspective, mostly based on the position of themselves.Except for those who were pillaged into the Turks, the historical records have biased attitude towards the Central Plains who were forced to go to Mobei and stayed there because of various realities. It is ignoring the specific reasons why the Central Plains entered the Turkic north and its impact on the situation in the agricultural and nomadic areas under the conditions at that time.Through comparative research methods, this paper focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the Central Plains people entering the Turks in different periods, and reveals this particularity as much as possible. For the convenience of discussion, the time clues are based on the change of the Central Plains dynasty, taking into account the rise and fall of the Turkic Khanate. It is divided into three periods, that is,the first stage is from the end of the Western Wei Dynasty to the beginning of Tang Dynasty during Zhenguan, which roughly corresponds to the First Turkic Khanate.During this period, the Central Plains dynasties changed several times, and the Turks were basically in a period of continuous prosperity;the second period is630 A.D.to the Gaozong period. It was the period when the Turks were ruled by the Tang Dynasty, most of the people who entered the Turks at this time were officials from the Central Plains sent by the Tang Dynasty to manage the northern ethnic tribes;the third period was from the Wuzhou to Xuanzong period, which roughly corresponds to the Second Turkic Khanate, the Turkic found a state, and the Tang-Turk on a tight rope.Except for the official envoys sent by the Central Plains, the Central Plains people were forced to leave their homeland and enter the Turks through passive means such as looting. This may be related to the strong mentality of revenge by the upper Turks against the Central Plains dynasty during this period.Due to the limitation of materials, this thesis mainly adopts the perspective of the Central Plains, analyzed in detail in the Chinese literature records how and why the various types of Central Plains people who went to Turks in different periods entered the northern Turkic land, and discussed the rise and fall of the Central Plains regime and the Central Plains people. The relationship between going north and the relationship between the situation of the Turkic regime and the influx of the Central Plains people into the North, etc.,in order to show more clearly the specific process of the Central Plains entering the Turks in different periods. Then it analyzes the profound influence of the Central Plains people’s entry into the Turkic land on the agricultural and nomadic areas, and attempts to deepen the knowledge and understanding of the Hu-Han relationship and the changes of Hua-Yi concepts from the Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties from a new perspective.
