In the cognition of Chinese traditional culture, human relationship includes king and courtier, father and son, brothers, husband and wife, friends. The rules of dealing with human relationship are loyalty, filial piety, and forbear, letter, and it is also the essence of Confucianism and even the ethics thoughts later. The cultural roots come from the book of odes,in which most of the poems reflect political and cultural life in the historical period. It lays a foundation for later Confucian ethics thought, especially to the ethics thought of enlightenment. In this paper, the study mainly focuses on the ethical study of poetry in the book of odes, including ethics culture connotation of poetry in the book of odes, expressions, and impact on offspring. In addition to the introduction, this paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the cultural connotation of poems on ethnics, which mainly includes relationship between brothers, father and son,the harmonious relationship between husband and wife and the mutually influenced and balanced relationship between king and courtiers. This chapter is divided into three parts, brothers,or father and son are usually mutually loved with loving fathers, sons full of filial piety and mutually respected brothers. The cultural connotation of the couples in the book of odes includes two main aspects. On the one hand, couples pay great attention to being polite in the relationship. On the other hand, many poems are characterized by "plain and simple, free and equal love","diversified and simple, rich in life",with more attention to the natural bold and forthright emotion. The king and the courtiers in the book of odes are mainly like brothers or friends, bust sometimes like mutually restricted friends. The second chapter is the ways of expression of poems about human relations. There are a variety of expression techniques and many ways of expressions in the book of odes. The following three ways of expression are more widely used—imagination and association;direct expression and clear depiction;symbols and implication, through which the poets express blood relations, the love of husband and wife, and the relationship between the king and courtier. The third chapter is mainly about the ethics and the Confucian culture in the book of odes.Ideas about the human relations in the book of odes had a profound impact on Confucian ethic culture,Confucian thought of "the father and his son",the thought of "king and courtier" comes from "filial piety" and "faithfulness" in the book of odes.Couple's principle of “to holdyour hand,to grow old with you” to get on well with each other in the book of odes also lay a foundation for the husband and wife relationship in Confucian culture. The book of odes and Confucian culture are inextricably linked.Chapter 4 focuses on the influence of the concept of ethnics in the book of odes on the later generations. In the aspect of literary creation, the concept of human relationship in the book of odes has a profound influence on the theme, artistic expression and language application of later poetry. At the same time,it plays an indispensable role in the national cultural spirit, humane sentiment, social harmony and stability of the Chinese nation.
