Research On The Vocabulary Of "Mian Shui Yan Tan Lu"

Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu is a one of the representative works of the notes in the Northern Song dynasty.It's a historical note written on the basis of what Wang Pizhi has seen and heard for many years after he retired and returned home.The content is numerous and diverse.It narrate the Monarch politics,Official system and news,Anecdotes,Folktales,Painting and music,etc.Although some content is not very true,but it still won't erase its value,especially in Linguistics.The record of a large number of words in the Song Dynasty provided a rich corpus for the study of the language of the Song Dynasty,providing documentary evidence for lexicography and exegetical.It can be said that the value is far-reaching.Reading this book,a large number of specialized words are found.To summarize,classification and interpretation can find the linguistic value of the book,it also has some significance for the compilation and revision of the dictionary.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the Imperial examination Vocabulary in the Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu.we give an explanation from the perspective of vocabulary interpretation of imperial examination,including the vocabularies before the examination,prevent cheating and appeared in the announcement of examination results.It will help to enhance the understanding of the ancient imperial examination culture,and investigate the development and changes of some words in the Song Dynasty.The second chapter is the Royal vocabulary in the Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu.we give an explanation from the perspective of Royal vocabulary,including the vocabularies of royal etiquette,royal behaviors and imperial supplies.It will help to strengthen the understanding of the ancient royal family,and then examine the role of some words in the society at that time.The third chapter is the Funeral vocabulary in the Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu.we give an explanation from the perspective of Funeral vocabulary,including the vocabularies of tombs,mourning and be in mourning.It will help to understanding the culture of ancient funeral,and to analysis the evolution and development of vocabulary,as well as the origin from the angle of vocabulary.The forth chapter is the rest word of valuable specialized vocabulary in the Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu.we will interpret the rest word of valuable specialized vocabularies in one part after the exhaustive collection.It is beneficial to fully excavate the linguistic value of the specialized vocabularies in Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu.The fifth chapter is the supplement of the vocabulary in the Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu to the Chinese Dictionary.we study some vocabularies from Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu to correct the Chinese Dictionary.On the research methods,we mainly adopts the combination of diachronic and synchronic,making a research from two aspects of vertical and horizontal.Through classification study to Sheng Shui Yan Tan Lu,we found that there's a lot of work to do.It is possible to explore the linguistic value of this novel from more angles and more research methods.
