With the increasingly widespread use of English as a language in the world,English teaching in our country has also increasingly emphasized the development of students’ ability to speak English.Primary school is the key period of children’s language development.However,imitation training as the most commonly used and effective teaching method in spoken English teaching has not received enough attention.Therefore,the problem of imitating training in primary school English spoken language teaching is discovered in time,and the pupils’ spoken English is effectively improved.Competence is the primary focus of primary school English spoken teaching.For a long time,"imitation" has been regarded as an outdated teaching concept.The imitative training widely used by teachers in schools is stuck at the level of low-value mechanical repetition exercises.The students’ interest in participating in imitation is low and they cannot effectively and effectively improve students.Oral expression ability has caused the widespread status of "dumb English" in our country.This study investigated the situation of oral English teaching at S Primary School in Y City through questionnaires(including teachers and students);and focused on Bandura’s observational learning theory and Krashen’s second language acquisition theory on primary school The significance of oral English imitating training.This paper studies the application status of imitation training in oral teaching in primary school from the six dimensions of imitating training content,level,type,organization rationality,student imitation motivation and student participation.After research,it was found that the following problems existed in primary school English oral imitative training:First,imitation training content was monotonous and monotonous,second,imitation training was low,lack of value content,and third,student participation and learning efficiency were low.In response to the above issues,the author proposes the following strategies:First,to enrich the contents and forms of imitating training,to enhance the diversity of imitative materials,and to innovate imitative forms;Second,to simulate the training of each layer from the layered design and optimize the combination of imitation training at all stages.To improve the level of imitation training;Third,pay attention to pupils’emotional attitudes,and reduce the anxiety of students’ oral expression,improve students’learning motivation;Fourth,strengthen the construction of spoken language assessment system.
