Robert Musil(Robert Musil,1880-1942)is a master of modern German literature in Austria of 20 Century.His work "The Man Without Quality" is known as one of the most important modernist works in 20 Century.Musil devoted his whole life to exploring the road of human soul,trying to show a bright way in the dark side of 20 Century.This paper fouson the mysticism of Musil's works,tries to see how Musil uses his mysticism to understand the times and try to change the society.This thesis is divided into three parts:introduction,main body and conclusion.Introduction:This paper mainly introduces the life and creation of Robert Musil,the research status of Robert Musil at home and abroad as well as the research methods and research value of this topic.The text of the main part is made up of three chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces and analyzes the origin of Musil's mysticism.From the experience of the writer's childhood and the background of the society.To perceive the special things form the special environment at that time.The second chapter is very important.The opinions based on the text itself,from the theme to the content and the writing skills,I analyze how Musil's mysticism in his literary works,and through the analysis of the text,understand the unique features of Musil's mysticism,that we can understand Musil's mysticism well.The third chapter is about the unique and special parts of Musil's thoughts,and disscuss the comparison of Musil's thoughts and artistic style in the 20 Century mysticism and the trend of literary development at that time.Analyzed the similarities and uniqueness between Musil and the tide of the irrationalism in 20 Century.The unique ideological connotation resprents Musil's courage and noble sprit are very admirable at that complex time.Conclusion:summing up the full text and concluding the argument.The mysticism of Robert Musil brought the possibility and comfort of the dissimilated society at that time.Although the mystical ideal of "brighter as daylight" was not realized,his spirit was worthy of the admiration of all.
