With the advent of the information age and the unprecedented development of multimedia technology,the status of posters as the main means of propaganda in the past century has been strongly impacted by newspapers,magazines,television,computers,mobile phones,and the Internet.At the same time,the pace of life of modern people is getting faster and faster.For the vast amount of different kinds of information that surrounds,most people can only browse roughly and quickly,and fewer and fewer people will spend their time and energy on watching a poster on the street.Most of the contemporary people only pay attention to matters related to themselves,which makes the poster once unshakable position is no longer as stable as before.Many problems that still exist today make this situation even worse.In the poster design,there is an important branch-public welfare posters.Although the development history of public welfare posters is not long,judging from the current situation,the influence of public welfare posters on society and the positive guiding role of social trends cannot be ignored..As a major branch of the poster,public welfare posters face the same problems and challenges as commercial posters in today’s society.Starting from these problems and challenges,how to improve the visual language performance of public welfare posters and how to achieve the purpose of attracting viewers are the problems that this article hopes to solve.If you want to solve this thorny problem,you must explore what are the public posters and the basic characteristics of public posters.How to design and make public welfare posters and how to effectively convey the value concept of public welfare posters are all very worthwhile for us to learn.This article will use the performance of the visual language in the poster as the starting point,and explore the similarities and differences in the design language of Chinese and Japanese posters from the three major elements of the poster(text,color,and graphics).By comparing and analyzing the works of the two countries,find ways to solve the problems existing in today’s posters.This article uses the methods of comparative research and case analysis to discuss the origin of public welfare posters and their development in China and Japan.Through comparative analysis to explain how to achieve the design concept of public welfare posters through basic visual elements such as graphics,text,and color,as well as a variety of expression techniques.Under the premise of ensuring that the public characteristics of public welfare posters remain unchanged,satisfying the public’s personalized aesthetic needs and causing public concern.In this way,the fundamental purpose of mass communication of public welfare posters can be realized more efficiently.
