The Sound Processing And Interactive Analysis Of The Electronic Music Work "Qin·Ode"

The author hopes that the fusion of Chinese traditional music elements and creation technology of western electronic music in the work “Qin Song” could reflect heritage of the Chinese culture “He”.The interactive and electronic music work “Qin Song” created by the author is inspired by the ancient Chinese scene of “playing seven-stringed Chinese instrument and singing”,selecting traditional seven-stringed Chinese instrument and chanting voices for voice elements,collecting voice from playing ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument in traditional skills and from some special playing methods designed by the author such as touching strings with fingers,rubbing against the strings with fingers,clapping hands on the table of ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument,striking the strings with bows of violin and Beijing opera fiddle,which enriches the sound materials and also respects the basic idea of pursuing of sound innovation of electronic music.In voice collection of chanting elements part,the author selects “Xiaoya Luming” chapter in the Book of Songs embodying the mental state “He” advocated by ancient Chinese philosophy,which matches mix conception of the music three elements,namely the voice of playing ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument,the chanting and the electronic music.On the basis of the original electronic music,the author joins the human-computer interaction part,where the voice of playing ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument is not only precast and exists in the certain audio of the work,it's from live performance of ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument by players and morphological changes of ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument through interactive devices trigger effectors.Using MAX/MSP and Leap Motion interactive sound device,identifying parameters change of effectors in different azimuth triggered by players' gestures realizes the interaction between players and interactive devices,meanwhile live performance of ancient seven-stringed Chinese instrument reconstructs the scene of “playing seven-stringed Chinese instrument and singing” for audience from various aspects like visual and auditory sense and gives the audience a sense of immersion,which makes better understanding of the cultural thought conveyed by the work.
