Calvino used the ancient messenger’s tone to describe the city in an invisible city.The continuous expansion of the city is endless,and the scale of the city far exceeds the human ability to feel.Such a city has become an uncontrollable monster.This is the alienated state of the city in post-industrial societies,and this situation will always be a vicious cycle.I have misappropriated Calvino’s literary works here.The icy cold landscape that has long been numb during the process of urbanization engulfed our free and sensitive hearts,but it was only natural.All the images are from Shanghai’s urban landscape,from the city center to the edge of the city,from early morning to night.Chinese people call Shanghai the magic capital.Enter this work with a small incision:the symbiotic relationship between the Shanghai plant landscape and the living environment in Shanghai.This is a conceptualization of the beginning of the creation,but then the work immediately becomes extremely large and diverse,because the study of an extremely rich environment for a megacity cannot be too restrictive.In the end,the final work may really become the simulacra of an invisible city.
