Deadpan in Chinese literally interpretation is expressionless face state,however,it is as a language used in visual,audio and visual art,especially with the development of photography,expressionless as a language for photography,become an important kind of expression form of contemporary image,has affected the development of contemporary photography.The Bechers and the Dusseldorf school photography,which have an important influence on contemporary art,use the “deadpan” photography language appearance to perform,also make the “deadpan” photography aesthetics increasingly mature.Based on the literature research and imaging study,in this paper,study on the development of “deadpan” photography aesthetics and its aesthetic form process,and more clear understanding of the “deadpan” photography language form and style.This paper explores the formation of photography aesthetics from four aspects: the initial of “deadpan” photography,image context,aesthetic construction and the influence of “expressionless” photography to contemporary photography,and hoping to have a systematic analysis of “deadpan” photography aesthetics.Today,as an important form of contemporary photography,the “deadpan” photography has become the fashion to lead contemporary images,and its formation is closed related to social,cultural,economic and national conditions.With the development of photography from invention to maturity,“deadpan” photography has been perfected.The coldness appearance and psychological distance of “deadpan” photography is combined with the social,cultural and other themes of the photographer,its images let the viewers to focus on the subject to thinking.The analysis and research on the aesthetics of “deadpan” photography can also help us to better apply and understand the aesthetic meaning of “deadpan” photography language.
