Since early 1900s,the bamboo slips of Chu was increasingly excavated in China,which has played an essential role on many fields such as philology,history of thought in pre-Qin and the two Han period,legal history,economic history and academ ic history,and it also has obtained plentiful achievements.Meanwhile,the bamboo slips of Chu,as inking with writing in one' s own hand 2000 years ago,which have abundant artistic valu e,specifically speak ing,not only can it provide the most im portant resources for the people who m ake a resear ch about the theory of calligraphy and calligraphy history,but also provide the unique materials of ancient calligraphy for the writers of contemporary calligraphy.It goes without saying that it has significantly influenced on the creating of contemporary Seal Script.The thesis aims to make a primary research about the regional culture,landscape of Chu.At the sam e tim e,the autho r will m ake a further exp loration abo ut whther the calligraphy art of the bam boo slips of C hu plays an important on contem porary calligraphy seal,and conc lude what the con temporary calligraphy creating of the bamboo slips of Chu will face.Chapter one is the introduction of the ar ticle.It introduces the Chu bamboo slips and the historical background of its devel opment briefly and summ arizes roughly the development of the Chu ba mboo slips calligraphy.The author puts forward the main research methods according to literature and the previous study of the Chu bamboo slips calligraphy.In chapter two,the author lists the culture and landscape,summarises the cultural characteristic of Chu a nd researches their ef fects of calligraphy abo ut the bamboo slips of Chu.Through investigating,the author finds out political anarchy and frequent wars in the W arring S tates Period,there is a phenom enon called " The m oral degeneration of society is getting worse" in cultu re,and a s ituation called" M any schools of thought came into existence and be gan to contend against one another."
