During the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in International Education College of Guangzhou University for one year,I have found that there are many differences of the efficiency of learning Chinese for foreign students from different countries with different learning backgrounds.In addition to the learning environment,teaching resources,consciousness and other hardware and software conditions,there is still a factor that can not be ignored which is the concept of learning Chinese.Most of the Chinese foreign students have formed their own conceptual system of language before coming to China to study Chinese.On the one hand,some of these previous language concepts of language are conducive to learning Chinese and some are not.On the other hand,with the concept of learning language held by the foreign students has not changed much on the whole,but there are obvious changes in some learning concepts.Obviously,there is a certain correlation between the learning concept of the foreign students and the achievement of learning language.There are both positive and negative correlation and the concept of learning language can happen under certain conditions.In view of these problems,this article refers to the use of Horwitz's "language learning concept questionnaire",which aims to make an in-depth investigation on the Chinese learning concept system in the short term in the classroom environment by the International Education College of Guangzhou University.The influence on foreign students' learning concept on learning behavior,the change of learning concept in the process of learning and the relationship between learning concept and learning achievement are investigated.In this paper,the quantitative and qualitative research methods are used to obtain the survey data of the students' learning concept of Chinese in the classroom environment by means of questionnaire,learning log,interview and classroom observation.The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of foreign students' learning concept of Chinese on their learning behavior,the change of learning concept of Chinese in the process of learning and the relationship between learning concept of Chinese and language achievement.I hope it is helpful for teachers and students to understand the outlook on learning Chinese fully.Theimportance of reading actively promotes the change of teachers' and students' roles in order to develop students' positive concept of language learning and develop students' autonomous learning ability.In a word,the discussion of Chinese learning concept of foreign students is not just about what kind of ideas they hold and how their ideas have changed in a specific learning environment.From the perspective of classroom teaching,this paper also considers how to apply the study of ideas to guide students to further improve their understanding of their own learning concepts so as to help teachers find a way to solve the contradiction between students' learning concepts and classroom teaching.
