Rachmaninoff was a famous Russian musician in the late nineteenth Century and early twentieth Century.He has made brilliant achievements in creation,command and piano.He has only composed a Cello Sonata,whose name is "G minor Sonata for Cello and Piano"(Op.19).The repertoire is the most representative sonata of the same type of work in the world.The artistic achievement of Rachmaninoff's works is clearly displayed through the writing techniques of this work.The classic Russian national style fully displayed,at the same time,it is also one of the representatives of the romantic period style works.This paper first analyzes the composers' life and the background of their works.On this basis,it summarizes the style and characteristics of the works.Through the previous related research and combined with its own performance practice,we have explored the performance skills of the work in depth,hoping to accumulate valuable research and reference for people who specializes in this field through this research.
