The modern national opera,Struggles in An Ancient City,is a tribute of the general political opera to the 60 th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people's Anti-Japanese War.The opera is based on the novel of the famous military writer Li Yingru.The opera is written by the famous lyricist Wang Xiaoling and composed by the chief executive of the opera company Wang Zu-jun and Zhang Zhuoya.On the background of the anti-Japanese struggle in Baoding,the ancient city of Hebei,it describes the arduous journey of the underground workers of the Communist party of China(CPC),Yang Xiaodong,to fight the enemy in the enemy-occupied areas.Not to Be Worthy of Filial Piety is a classic singing segment sung by Yang Xiaodong,the hero of the opera.This music has the introduction of the elements of opera,the melody jumps into frequent twists and turns,and the structural content contrast is obvious.In addition,the author analyzed the singing of the song,and made a deep excavation of the art style of the song,the skills of the character,the control of the breath,and the use of the cavity technique.
