Franz Rosenzweig's View Of Salvation

As a remarkable Jewish philosopher,Rosenzweig took an important role in the history of philosophy.He explains the relationships between god,world and people from a new perspective,and puts forward his own discussion about redemption with new thinking,these opinions focus on his major works,"the star of redemption".This paper tries to study Rosenzweig's main book “the star of redemption” and some related papers on the basis of existing research.In addition,this paper tries to study Rosenzweig's opinions of redemption with some comments on Rosenzweig by other philosophers(mainly some untranslated literatures)and then study the social significance and theoretical value for today.The first part is to analyze the origins of Franz Rosenzweig's Redemption Thought.It has deep historical and ideological background.Naturalism,Supernaturalism,Kabbalah produce and develop their own thoughts of redemption.Hermann Cohn and Martin Buber also gave their opinions toward this question in modern times.The second part mainly focuses on the theoretical basis of Redemption thought---the new thinking.It made a special contribution in his philosophy.It gave totally new interpretations to god,world,man and their relations---creation,revelation,redemption.This paper is going to study the nature and features about new thinking,tries to solve the theoretical basis of Rosenzweig's Redemption thought.The third part is to explore the main content of Rosenzweig's Redemption thought in detail,which is the core part of the article.According to his book “the star of redemption”,this paper is going to find the specific feature and show the differences between Rosenzweig's thoughts and the former ideas of redemption.The fourth part focuses on the process and finds the path of redemption.Based on the literature “the star of redemption”,this paper summarizes the main path.It is “love your neighbors”.And then it gives the meaning,origin and so on about the redemption.The process is also about three levels----god,world and people.The fifth part is the comment of the redemption thought about Rosenzweig.On the one hand,it has specific theoretical significance in Jewish philosophy;on the other hand,his thoughts also have some limitations in some places.
