| This paper is based on the "estrangement Trilogy"("Amores Perros"、"21 grams”、"Babel")directed by Alejan-dro Gonzalez Iarritu,one of the three masters of the mexico film.From three aspects:image,myth-archetype and cultural philosophy,this paper deeply analyzes the ideological context and artistic method of the theme of"estrangement" expressed in the three films of Iarritu,.This paper consists of five parts.The introduction part mainly introduces the background of topic selection,research significance,research status,main problems to be solved,research methods and main innovation points.The first chapter mainly introduces the creation background of Iarritu and its"estrangement Trilogy",and puts forward that the metaphorical narration is the main artistic method of "estrangement trilogy".The second chapter analyzes the metaphorical meaning of "estrangement Trilogy"from the perspective of image.The author makes the "estrangement Trilogy" appear many times,and divided the representative images into material metaphor image,action metaphor image and spatial metaphorical image,so to analyze the "estrangement"theme from the three kinds of images in different levels and different angles.The third chapter analyzes the metaphorical meaning of "estrangement Trilogy"from the perspective of myth archetype.In this chapter,the author tries to reveal the inner connection between the Iarritu’s religious background and his metaphorical narration,and finds out the deep spiritual connotation and the foundation of the"estrangement" theme from the analysis of the four mythological archetype which are"Cain killing brother","Babel”,"21 grams”and "abhorrent".The fourth chapter analyzes the metaphorical meaning of "estrangement Trilogy"from the perspective of cultural philosophy.In this chapter,the author tries to discuss the“estrangements”between man and self,man and others,man and society,man and rule,which are revealed by the”estrangement Trilogy" through metaphorical narration,in order to find some internal relations between the film of Iarritu and the philosophy of existentialism.The main innovations of this paper are as follows:1.It try to analyze the metaphorical narrative of the "estrangement Trilogy" and the theme of "estrangement"revealed by it,from three dimensions of image,mythology-archetype and cultural philosophy;2.It try to use mythology-archetypal criticism,Lacan’s“mirror theory" and the“three boundary”theory,and the existentialism philosophy to understand and to research films of Iarritu;3.The author tries to use the artistic method of metaphorical narration to explore the pursuit of human existence,spiritual belief and value in the Iarritu’s film.Although the ideas and attempts are difficult and incomplete,some innovative efforts have been made. |
