| Many scholars in the study of Chen Liang’s thoughts put his studies on the absolute pairs with moral transcendence from the perspective of Zhu Zi.After "Wang Ba and Yi Shuang Xing" was labeled a western abstract term"utilitarianism" in modern times,this kind of characterization was even more confirmed.Only from the perspective of the transcendence of Zhu Zi’s theory,morality and work,three generations and Han and Tang dynasties,there must be a fundamental difference between king and bullying.The opposition of this essential attribute between the two sides has led Chen Liang to use"Wang Ba" no matter what his thoughts are.It is impossible to be accepted by Zhu Zi.According the thinking,the recognition of Chen Liang’s thought naturally results in the extreme direction.But the connotation of Chen Liang’s thought is not confined to the simple western abstract concept of "utilitarianism".Through Chen Liang and Zhu Zi’s"the debate of Wang Ba’s righteousness and benefit",it is of great value and significance to analyze history value of Chen Liang’s thought,to judge the accuracy of Chen Liang’s"utilitarianism" thought and to reposition the nature of Chen Liang’s thought.The uniqueness of Chen Liang’s thought is that although he had many Confucian works,he did not have a complete set of philosophical theories,nor did he have a clear way of thinking.Most of his thoughts and theories appeared in the form of epistles,history reviews,poems,Zhu Wen,and even ci poems.However,each thought has its root.The research shows that Chen Liang’s thought academic has a deep historical origin.Chen Liang’s thought is rooted in the Confucian classics and the doctrines of the Han Dynasty and the Qin Dynasty.Although he is quite opposed the metaphysical tendency of the reflection of Neo-Confucianism,he advocated practice and practicality,but his ideological tendency was not only derived from the social and political reality,but it also had direct connection with Confucius and Mencius theory spiritually.The complete formation of its can not be separated from the inheritance of the Confucian tradition,but were alsoinfluenced by various thoughts of the same era.Objectively speacking,the argument of Wang Ba’s righteousness and benefit is the most influential representative work of Chen Liang’s thought,and it is also the best explanation of Chen Liang’s thought from the subjective point of view.The argument extends from Zhu Zi’s criticism of Chen Liang’s "Wang Ba’s view of justice and benefit"to the three generations’ rule and the prosperity of Han and Tang dynasties.Through this debate,it can be found that although there is classic historical proposition of "three generations of Han and Tang dynasties" among the themes ofdebates,its core is a tit-for-tat confrontation with the transcendence of moral ideal from the perspective of realistic concem.The starting point of Chen Liang’s "Wang Ba Yi Li" view is not"utilitarianism" or "heroism"in the root,but a kind of realistic concern brought from human nature.The lack of attention to reality leads to the tendency of the Neo-Confucianism system to be "strong inside and weak outside".Chen Liang’s realistic concern has paid much attention to the scope of concern not yet achieved by Neo-Confucianism.It is the most important theoretical issue that this debate raises as to how to complement each other rather than creject each other continuously. |
