Mahler was an outstanding Austrian composer and conductor during the European Romanticism period.Among the western composers at the turn of the 20th century,Mahler was one of the most striking. In the first fifty years after Mahler's death,Mahler,as a composer, was repeatedly criticized and to some extent put in a rather "sheltered" state.Since the Mahler centenary in the 1960s,the music industry has set off the upsurge of the revival of Mahler which has become more and more intense.Indeed,Mahler music has become a "prominent study" in the study of contemporary music history. As the first vocal music ensemble of Mahler,Song of a Wanderer is not only an outstanding work in the field of art songs but also an important position as a composer. The author takes Mahler's Song of a Wanderer as the research object of this paper. The first chapter introduces the life of Mahler and his artistic songwriting and provides the research foundation for Song of a Wanderer. In the second chapter, the music ontology analysis is carried out on four songs in Song of a Wanderer. The third chapter puts forward some views on the application of singing breath, the mastery of language and the expression of emotion in combination with his own learning experience and singing practice. The fourth chapter compares and analyzes several representative versions. It is hoped that this will provide some valuable reference for other vocal learners, and arouse more people's thinking about mahler's art songs.
