"Analysis Of Mahler Vocal Suite"

Gustav Mahler is an outstanding composer of late Romanticism,whose achievements are mainly reflected in symphonies and artistic songs.He has created 42 art songs in his life,and the vocal set "The Song of Rückert " represents the artistic style of Mahler's late creation.This thesis takes "The Song of Rückert " as the research object,and analyzes the research object from three perspectives.The first part briefly describes the creative background of artistic songs,this paper analyzes the reasons why Mahler chose Rückert 's poetry as the lyrics.the second part analyzes the five songs in the set with a more complete musical ontology,to make necessary preparations for understanding and interpreting the work "The Song of Rückert ";the third part compares the interpretation of “The Song of Rückert " by two outstanding artists,combined with actual singing experience,and makes singing skills analysis.The micro-analysis of music materials is a look up to " The Song of Rückert ",and the philosophical high-level macro analysis is a look down at " The Song of Rückert ".The combination of macro and micro analysis provides rationality for actual singing Experience;Listening and analysis of " The Song of Rückert " performed by famous singers,providing an emotional experience for actual singing.The combination of rationality and sensibility deepens the understanding of singing.
