| The development and transformation of the society call for the third education revolution.Information technology has changed the way of knowledge sharing.The new thinking method which is born from network has greatly changed the concept of education,the contents of education,teaching methods and learning methods.The flipped classroom,a blended teaching model could satisfy students’personal needs and improve efficiency,which perfectly matches the trend of future education.According to English Curriculum Standards(2011),teachers should make use of the information technology,develop the sources of course and make the best of online teaching sources in order to improve personalized learning and students’ independent learning.Both the flipped classroom and the English course have the same target.The study investigates the primary school Y in Nanjing,and focuses on the flipped English course,trying to figure out the present situation,find problems in the flipping process,conclude the causes of these problems and provide useful strategies or suggestions.This study focuses on four questions:how is the implementation situation of the flipped English classroom;what are the problems in the process of the flipped English classroom;what kind of reasons caused the problems;how to improve the flipped English classroom in the primary school.This study mainly adopts literature research,classroom observation and questionnaire investigation,which analyze the problems in the flipped English classroom,and conclude the reasons for the problems.Through the observation of the flipped English classroom,the author found that there are various problems in the flipped English classroom,such as:the dislocation of teaching objectives,the single method of teaching evaluation,the inefficiency of the group disscussion and so on.As the practitioners of the flipped English classroom,schools,teachers and students are facing so many troubles,which can be the reasons for the problems.To solve these problems,the school must create a good environment for the flipped English classroom;Teachers need to improve the ability of organizing the flipped English classroom;Students shold improve themselves constantly to adapt to the primary school English classroom.Through the analysis of the theory and practice,we can have the following conclusions:as a fresh thing,the applying of the flipped English classroom is a bold attempt because it can cause so many problems.As an education worker,we should dare to challenge,weigh the benefits and shortbacks calmly,overcome the difficulties,and try our best to make use of the advantages of the flipped English classroom. |
