The "Art-based thinking fostering paradigm" is a education paradigm which planned and organized implementation of "artwork" as the entry point,"thinking routines" as the means and tools,and the goal of cultivating students' thinking to enable students' thinking to develop on an innate basis and deepens the understanding of the subject of the curriculum.The "Art-based thinking fostering paradigm" plays a significant role in cultivating basic thinking qualities such as observation,description,comparison,and questioning,as well as students' understanding and expressiveness.The use of art and the path of thinking also promotes effective teaching and understanding of teachers.Therefore,I will start from this article,in-depth exploration of the development of the "Art-based thinking fostering paradigm",theoretical basis,connotation,goals,teaching strategies,etc,aims to introduce its advanced educational concepts into our country and explore the feasible strategies for the implementation of the curriculum in practice so as to facilitate the implementation of thinking training in China.Art-based thinking fostering paradigm first sprouted in the United States in the 1960s,reflecting on art education,and then developed in the background of visual images and creative economy and society.It has experienced three developments in theory,independent development,and practical promotion stage.Cognitive neuroscience,cognitive psychology,and art pedagogy have provided a large number of theoretical results and practical evidence for the unique value of cultivating human thinking in their respective fields of study.The distinguishing feature of the "Art-based thinking fostering paradigm"differs from other thinking teaching programs in that it takes "art" as the entry point,"thinking quality" as the training goal,and "general subject curriculum" as the backing;It takes "thinking development" as its training goal,aims to promote the integration of art and other disciplines,and takes questions,subject teaching,and thinking paths as its main teaching strategies.In order to more intuitively and three-dimensionally present its practice in different countries and teaching fields,I introduced four representative practical cases respectively:Artful Thinking,Visual Thinking Strategies,Visual literacy-based art intervention program and I designed and implemented the art into the practice case of the lowercase science curriculum.The implementation of art-based thinking education in China is facing challenges such as lack of understanding,professionalism of teachers,and shortage of educational resources.In response to these challenges and in combination with practical experience in other countries,researchers propose suggestions for the implementation of education based on art-based thinking in China.
