A Study Of Hundreds Of Households In Siheji Village, Regong, Qinghai

One hundred household family of Siheji is located in the far reaches of Qinghai Tibetan area and it can date back to Yuan Dynasty.Although it is far isolated to motherland by mountains and miles,the thick forest and high mountains never stopped its communication with outside.The first householder of the one hundred household family called Suonanlengzhi got the chance of meeting with Hezhou official through magnate when he was doing business there.After knowing that Suonanlengzhi was from far distance,the official was very delighted and awarded Suonanlengzhi as official position of one hundred household family and he was also given the official hat and uniform,and valuable books and satin.After coming back to homeland with property,he became one of the most famous people in Rebgong area.There were fourteen householders from the first generation of the one hundred household family Suonanlengzhi to the fourth generation Bamalengzhi,that was the time through Yuan,Ming,Qing Feudal Dynasties.The family influenced the village even the whole Rebgong area deeply.As my thesis is the first study of one hundred household family of Sihej,I have made careful study to the manuscript of Genealogy of Siheji village and the history of the one hundred household family and to both Tibetan and Chinese historical records that are related to my topic.By doing so I can make comprehensive and detail description of its origin,development and its decline.Except for the preface and conclusion,my thesis is consisted by three chapters.The first chapter is mainly deals with the origin of the Seheji one hundred household family.First of all,I explain the living area of the one hundred household family.Secondly,through various methods such as making textual reseal on Tibetan and Chinese historical records to verify the origin of the one hundred household family.The second chapter is about the historical process of long linage of the one hundred household family.And this part is also the most important part of my thesis.The one hundred household family of Siheji is classified and described according to the manuscript of Genealogy of Siheji village and the history of the one hundred household family,a great number of published historical records and dynasties.The aim of by doing so is to offer the readers the family from its emergency to development and to its decline at the end.The third chapter is about the contribution of successive householder of the one hundred household family.This part mainly analyzes and makes a summary about the successive householders' contribution to the Siheji village and to the whole Rebgong area from the aspects of politic,economy,religion.The purpose of doing so is introduce the one hundred household family and its contribution to its descendants.All in all,I try to combine the result of making textual research on the historical records and field investigation to study the one hundred household family from the historical anthropology perspective.
