Minority oral epic is a summary of ethnic history and culture,which is a ture records of ethnic minority group's production and the living life,it constructed the culture symbols and belief shared within ethnic groups.Minority oral epic was sang by local people,in a particular situation over and over again,after a long historical process and constantly evolution,gradually formed a cultural carrier with distinct national characteristics.I believe that doing research on ethnic culture by the form of documentary,not only can objectively represent the local folk environment,complete truthfully recorded all of the content of oral epic and reveal the people's mind behind it.The content expression of the oral epic of ethnic minorities,combined with the visual presentation of the documentary,can complement each other and compare other types of visual presentation.Graduation work of the Watcher in the Yi Mountains is in the form of video recording.After two times on the basis of the studies of the Yi nationality village,with reference to the existing film and television creation theory and practice of the Yi people's oral epic Meige present situation,the choice of Yi Meige in Yaoan area and only few left of crucial figure--Bimo,as the demonstrated object.In local to find a representative of the old,two generations as the main characters,by showing their inheritance and protection,reflect now Meige in heritage status and difficulties faced by the local people.This film focuses on and excavates the folk heritage of Meige,and tells the meaning of Meige culture to the Yi people with living characters,which is the innovation of this work.According to the graduation design of the Watcher in the Yi Mountains,the preparation,thinking,method,process and relevant experience of the documentary in the creation process are elaborated in detail from the five parts.The first part,start with the film selected topic background,explain the present situation and the significance of the Yi people's oral epic Meige,combing the domestic and foreign relevant national culture the present situation and the theory of documentary production practice situation,and then extract the value of his works,through the perspective of cultural anthropology and in expression of the narrative theme,enriched Meige epic on the image dimension research and the record.The secondpart discusses the field research and preparation process of this subject,which provides a perfect theory and experience reserve for the completion of works.The third part is the film's shooting mid part,mainly expressed in the process of filming equipment use,photography,photography and scene scheduling and content,the fourth part is the summary of the film post-production phase,from the selection of material,rough cut film,video,fill material production fine cut,color,effects to the output into the whole process are introduced in theory and practice;Last part of this work make a comprehensive summary to the angle of communication and visual anthropology academic thinking and summarized,in order to constantly improve themselves in the future in terms of national image height and the theory of practical writing ability.
