Over a hundred years of history in modern China, the concept of "nation" plays an important role.In the study of history,a lot of historical narratives have been influenced by Western nationalism and the national trend of thought.Marxist Historiography as the Representative School of "New Historiography",its most important feature is the close integration of academic research with real politics. When historical historians of historical materialism conducted historical research,it often treats historical research as a political theory construction and propaganda. Therefore, during the Yan’an period,Marxist historiography established the historical narrative mode of the narrative of revolutionary history, and this narrative model has been active on the stage of mainland history for decades. On the other hand, the academic nature of Marxist historiography is often overlooked by people, the study of its national history is the best embodiment of the academic nature of Marxist history. This article focuses on the study of Marxist national history in the 1930s and 1940s,through the Study of Marxist Historians’ Texts and research on the related national theory of modern China to study the Academic and Political Nature of Marxist Historiography. In this period, one of the Characteristics of National Historiography is the Interaction with Ethnic Policies,so the interaction between academic and political is also the focus of this article. In the study of modern ethnic history,Different historians have incorporated their own political views into academic writing,at the same time, their historical narratives also provide a theoretical basis and decisionmaking reference for the political policy of the time. Therefore, the study of Marxist national history in modern times provides a unique perspective for us to examine the political situation and ethnic policy in China during the 1930s and 1940s.
