Freehand Study And Practical Exploration Of Chinese Oil Painting

Oil painting originated in the west.After several generations of artists' renewal and creation,it has formed a freehand oil painting with Chinese characteristics,which has become a form of language recognized by the society.However,the freehand nature in contemporary oil painting can no longer be understood with the ancient aesthetic concepts,and the freehand nature in oil painting is a new culture that contains Chinese painting,western painting and modern concepts.This paper focuses on the concept,characteristics,development and creation practice of freehand brushwork in oil painting.By analyzing the spiritual connotation of Chinese painting and the process of repeated adjustment and deepening of western oil painting language,it systematically describes the development status of freehand brushwork in oil painting in practice.Focusing on this new form of Chinese oil painting,this paper interprets the representative works of painters in different stages and periods according to their styles,and probes into the development achievements of freehand oil painting.It also describes the western artists' learning of Chinese painting techniques when freehand style appeared in Chinese oil painting,and integrates them into the painting forms in oil painting.During the May 4th movement,patriotic young artists learned western art with the thought of saving the country and the people,and integrated western progressive art thought into Chinese painting.Then the three most representative artists in the early 20 th century,the middle 20 th century and the end of the 20 th century,respectively,reflect the gradual development of freehand brushwork in oil painting integrated by China and the west.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part: to define the concept of freehand oil painting from the perspective of freehand,and to sort out the freehand oil painting from the two aspects of the development of world art and Chinese freehand painting.The second part:briefly introduce the ideas,painting skills and some works of artists such as Lin fengmian,Luo gongliu and Wu guanzhong,and make a rational analysis of their freehand brushwork.The third part: according to their own practice and exploration,briefly summarize the characteristics and skills of some freehand oil painting.
