This paper attempts to start from the establishment of the principle of realism painting, tracing all the way, leading to the development of shading method, space shortening method(perspective),to see when and where the traditional sketch is established,as a premise background. After that, rebellious artists gradually emerged. They put forward new possibilities beyond the sketch, and continuously promoted the importance of color application. Finally, there was a complete rebellion and raised the banner of color modeling. It can be said that the development of the whole art history is the competition between color modeling and sketch modeling. For the first time, giotto pushed open the door to realism.Masaccio went a step further, painting solid human bodies with light and shade, and creating the illusion of space on walls with architectural perspective. His art marked the coming of the Renaissance.Da Vinci explicitly established the shading method(chiaroscuro). For the first time, gainsborough brought the atmosphere of nature into painting, abandoning the brown tone and creating space with color. If Cezanne was the man who "overcame" traditional scientific perspective in the 19th century,Turner was fundamentally the first to really question the idea.He opened up a new way of depicting color,as an independent form of painting, directly presented to the audience.Make the audience get the direct experience from the color. His art became a pioneer of impressionism.Like the realistic works of manet and degas, the impressionist works show the instantaneous beauty of the world and the modern desire.Monet made extensive use of primary and secondary colors, completely abandoning the rhythm and tone of classical painting. His approach was also influenced by the science of color research at the time.He emphasized the power of color and did not care about depicting the relationship between the real world and the objective objects. His paintings did not use the contrast method of shaping shapes, but just placed colors on the canvas to show the changes of light and shadow in nature.
