Research On Anxi Prefecture Guardian In Tang Dynasty

The Tang dynasty is a transitional period in the western region management history of the central plains dynasty.Soon after the unification of the zhongyuan,the Tang dynasty began its plan to explore the western regions.With the establishment of Anxi and Beiting capitals,the rule of Tang dynasty in the western regions became more and more stable.Compared with Beiting capitals,Anxi was established earlier,almost consistent with the western business of the Tang dynasty.As the executor of the western region policy of the Tang dynasty,Anxi,the highest official of this institution,was one of the important factors for the success or failure of the western region policy of the Tang dynasty.This paper takes Anxi as the research object in Tang dynasty,mainly discusses the selection factors and main activities of Anxi,and through these two problems,further analyzes the characteristics of The Times of Anxi’s achievements.It can be found that three factors,family background,military service and personal quality,play a significant role in the selection of Anxi nurse.These three factors played different roles in different historical periods with the adjustment of the western business strategy of tang dynasty.The officials who are able to govern Anxi through different selection factors mean that they have relatively outstanding abilities when they are engaged in politics in the mainland.This capability mainly includes three aspects,that is,military combat capability,traffic management capability and the ability to deal with ethnic relations.The selection of competent mainland officials to govern the western regions ensured the smooth development of the economic strategy of the tang dynasty in the western regions.Anxi was able to play such an important role because of the unique historical environment of the Tang dynasty.
