Starting with the perspective of creation, this paper takes part of the murals of two dynasties of Han and Tang as the research object and conducts a comparative study. In terms of time, the murals show two expression ways of linear layout and the non-linear layout, which reflect the "narrative" and "story nature" of the mural.About space, the space in the mural presents a real and virtual, finite and infinite space to create an atmosphere. The layout of murals and the layout of physical space dominates the logic of viewing and the sequence of time and space switching, which provide a basis and roundabout conditions for the spatio-temporal performance of murals. It makes the space in which the murals are located become a conceptual space based on physical space through the spatio-temporal expression of murals.Nowadays, when we look at the murals,it draws away the time and space at that time with the dissolution of the spatial functions in which the ancient murals are located,so that we can observe the murals from a more pure perspective and the viewers create a spatio-temporal gap with the murals, which also becomes the problems I have considered in the creative process.Taking this question as a starting point,I will discuss this article by writing this article, this paper combines the combing of the spatio-temporal expressions of Han and Tang murals, and explores the ways of spatio-temporal expressions and the inspiration of artistic language for personal creation.
