A Study On The Connotation Of The "sorrowful" Style

Pathos is quite literally an ancient Chinese word.It is often used as an aesthetic style in many studies,while there are few systematic studies on itself.This thesis attempts to analyze the specific manifestations of the "pathos" style in the field of literature and art based on the former researches,and to explore and summarize the aesthetic essence and connotation of pathos.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter traces the meaning of "pathos" from the Chinese and Western meanings,and explore the far-reaching meaning of its own source.The second chapters analyze the specific manifestations of "pathos" in the field of literature and art.I will analyze the specific presentation of the "pathos" style in the field of classical poetry,music,painting,photography and film and television by illustration method.The third chapter focuses on Kant’s interpretation for it’s the greatest Authority.It points out the relationship between the sublime aesthetic experience and the understanding of imagination and the ability to control and its ultimate orientation-the victory of reason.In the end,this article thinks that "pathos" contains at least three meanings.First of all,it refers to an emotional experience,which refers to the large emotional excitement that people produce when they are subjected to powerful destructive damage from the outside world;secondly,pathos can point to the inner pain after long-term misplacement between the ideal and reality;finally,"pathos" can also refer to such a high-level aesthetic state.On the basis of the first two layers,the aesthetic subject after reaching the peak of despair and intense emotional agitation must seek salvation or die.You can use rationality to grasp the infinity-oriented sublime to obtain a rational victory,or to guide Kierkegaard’s self-selected religious-style beliefs.The similar expression is that the individual has an overview of the subject and a deep thought to the limitation and limitations,and accept a helpless choice in the emotional tone of pathos.Compared to with respect to the victory of reason,"pathos" is more akin to a rational reconciliation with the outside world.And it is different from the natural state of the ancient Chinese in all things,for it always retains a subjective life consciousness.
