Research On Jiang Tingxi's Flower And Bird Painting Art

Jiang tingxi,who was born in an official family of Changshu,was an important political official,scholar,poet and ci minister painter as an official of Qing in the mid-Qing Dynasty.For decades,he held an important position and had outstanding achievements while he was appreciated by many emperors.Although he was once a statesman,he was highly accomplished in poetry,calligraphy and painting.The "Chiang Kai-shek flowers and birds" created by him based on boneless sketching not only had the style of royal wealth,but also the wild and elegant style of Xu Xi,which then stirred the whole capital and opened a new prelude to the development of boneless flowers and birds painting after the mid-Qing Dynasty.Then it was admired by the world and left a place for him in art history.The Qing Dynasty is a representative period of the development of boneless flower-and-bird painting.This paper will discuss from four parts.The first part researches Jiang's family culture and his 64 years' life experience through combing historical materials.His relatives,including grandfather Jiang Fen,father Jiang Yi,brother Jiang Chenxi,sister Jiang Jixi,children and grandchildren have inherited our country's distinghuished heritage.The second part is to sort out the origin of Jiang's inheritance and ink style by reviewing the picture albums,poetry anthology,related inscriptions and postscript to clarify the creation background and style characteristics of Jiang's painting to fully retrospect their appearances.The third part summarizes the rationality of ghostwriting from the position and attitude of Qing emperors.This paper also discusses the appearance of Jang's penmanship and ghostwriting through comparative observation of some of his existing works.The fourth part looks at the historical status and influence of "Chiang factionl" flower-and-bird art from the development of its painting circles and the inheritance of painting art in the early Qing Dynasty."Chiang faction" flower-and-bird painting has an important influence on the inheritance and development of boneless flower and bird paintings.This article tries to make an in-depth study of painting art of the ci minister painter Jiang Tingxi and further enter his painting art world.
