| Arikha,as one of the representative figures in contemporary art circles,uses unique composition methods,insists on using intrinsic colors,and tailors the figures in order to present the concise and simple effect of the painting.His unique painting language and ingenious painting style have greatly influenced the author’s creation.The author’s graduation creation takes the middle-aged men in the city as the theme and draws lessons from Arikha’s technique of expression.Through using unique composition and color,the author displays the image of the middle-aged men in the painting and their life scenes so as to show their most real life state and mental state.In the creation process,the author has integrated his real feelings and thoughts on life.Taking Arikha’s painting form as the breakthrough point to express his artistic language and through thinking about the content and form of creation,the author has gradually understood the expression of painting language as well as thoughts and emotions in the process of artistic creation.This paper takes the influence of Arikha’s expression method on the author’s character oil painting creation as the research direction,and discusses it from three parts.First,it discusses the unique composition of Arikha,the change of artistic style and the aesthetic significance of his work style and then expounds Arikha’s painting style.Secondly,it discusses Arikha’s influence on the author from the author’s creative process,including the determination of creative theme and the application of Arikha’s expression techniques in the author’s creation.Finally,it combines with the creation of the series of the author’s works "Middle-aged Group Images" to discuss the expression of emotion and form in the process of artistic creation.This paper not only researches Arikha’s artistic style and expression methods,but also explores the author’s painting language by combining the author’s creative practice and thinking. |
