The unearthed bamboo slips and silk books provide new materials for present calligraphy research and creation.In the period of Qin and Han dynasties,because of the difference of time and calligrapher,there were quite obvious differences in calligraphy style between the same characters on silk and bamboo slips.This paper selects Mawangdui silk book Laozi A and B,which were unearthed in the 1970 s,and the West Han bamboo book Laozi collected by Peking University in 2009 for calligraphy analysis.Through the analysis and comparison of pen,knot and chapter,this paper summarizes the similarities and differences in the characteristics of their calligraphy,analyzes the reasons for the formation of their style of writing,and sums up the evolution of writing style in the early Western Han Dynasty.The structure of this paperThree parts.The first part mainly introduces Mawangdui silk book Laozi,Peking University Tibetan Western Han bamboo book Laozi unearthed general situation,the second part is mainly to Mawangdui silk book Laozi A,B book and Peking University Laozi calligraphy characteristics were analyzed;The third part is the comparative study of the two;the fourth part discusses the influence of Mawangdui silk book Laozi and Beida Laozi on the present calligraphy creation.
