Based on the Confucian thought of rule of rites as a starting point,in the basic spirit of closing parents, respecting grandparents and grand grandparents, being friendly with brothers or kinsmen of another branch and distinguishing between men and women, under the background of the system of lineal primogeniture, temple sacrifice, same surname unmarried, this paper makes an analysis and study of the concept of women in the Book of Rites.Through the study,we try to clarify the specific content of the provisions on women's words and deeds in the Book of Rites in terms of crown, marriage, funeral and sacrifice, and clarify the logic behind these rules. At the same time,we should objectively and dialectically look at the positive aspects of women's concepts in the Book of Rites, pay attention to the etiquette provisions of protecting women's rights and interests in the Book of Rites, and find out the humanistic concern contained therein. The full text consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction. The introduction consists of five aspects, namely, the reasons for selecting the title, the current situation and shortcomings of the research on this topic, the definition of the concept of " Women's View " and the explanation of the research methods of this paper, the description of the time when the Book of Rites was written, and the significance of selecting the title. The second part is the first chapter of this article. It mainly analyses the natural and social causes of the concept of gender difference, and discusses the external manifestations of the concept of gender difference from various perspectives. The Confucian system of etiquette for women is based on the idea that men and women are different. It is embodied in all aspects of etiquette rules such as crown, marriage, funeral and sacrifice. However,Confucianism emphasizes the difference between men and women, which is essentially different from the concept of superiority and inferiority between men and women in later generations. We can not fall into a misunderstanding when we study them. Therefore,we discuss the difference in a separate section. The third part is the second chapter of this article, mainly from the relationship between couples, analysis of the concept of women in the Book of Rites.Firstly, the Book of Rites stipulates women's family responsibilities and obligations in a very clear and detailed way,so it is the first to discuss them.Secondly, the Book of Rites not only stipulates women's obligations unilaterally, but also requires husbands to treat their wives with respect and righteousness, and couples should treat each other with respect and justice. Finally,in the Book of Rites,"?" has two meanings: joint sacrifice and joint burial. In order to enable couples to continue their friedship after their death,Confucianism advocates the rite of joint burial. The fourth part is the third chapter of this article, mainly from the relationship between mother-child,mother-in-law and daughter-in-law,father-in-law and daughterin-law,wife and concubine, uncle and sister-in-law,analysis of the concept of women in the Book of Rites.Among them, the mother-child relationship is divided into the biological mother-child relationship maintained by consanguinity and the nonbiological mother-child relationship maintained by etiquette. For the disadvantaged groups of women such as“loving mothers”,Confucianism guarantees their survival and funeral rights as much as possible, reflecting simple humanistic care.In the part of the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law,the Book of Rites, under the framework of Confucian filial piety, stipulates the proper etiquette of women's obligation, and emphasizes that mother-in-law and father-in-law should be equally respected when they accept the respect and filial piety of their daughter-in-law.In the part of the relationship between wife and concubine, the Book of Rites emphasizes the difference between the superiority and inferiority of wife and concubine in order to maintain family harmony and social stability. The etiquette regulation of the relationship between uncle and sister-in-law embodies the concept of "men and women are different".The fifth part is the conclusion, mainly the summary of the content of this article.
