There are a lot of words that look like affix word formation in modern Chinese vocabulary system.However,these language components can not be called affixes because they have lexical meanings.As a result,the concept of"semi-affix" has gradually emerged."Semi-affix" is one of the focuses for Chinese linguists and scholars in recent years.Not only because there are many precedents with semi-affix word formation in Chinese vocabulary system,it is also found that there are a large number of examples of semi-affix word formation in the new words produced at each stage of language development.With the increase number of people who are learning Chinese in the world,it is necessary for us to study these words systematically so that we can teach Chinese vocabularies in a better way and make learners understand Chinese words better.Of all semi-affixes,"human semi-affix”is the most common part.This thesis mainly talked about Modern Chinese human semi-affixes and it is based on the Modern Chinese Dictionary which was published by Commercial Press,2010 to 2017 Language Situation in China and HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of Beijing Language University.I have studied human semi-affixes'concept,amount,word formation,semanteme and productivity.In addition,my study also demonstrates the use condition of human semi-affixes in teaching Chinese as a second language.I have analyzed the errors of foreign learners when they are using human semi-affixes and classified these errors.Meanwhile,I have also analyzed the causes of these errors so that I can give some suggestions on textbook compilation and teaching about human semi-affixes.In this thesis,there are five chapters.Chapter 1:Introduction.First,it talked about the study reason,study significance and research idea.I have reviewed the references on studying semi-affixes and human semi-affixes of former scholars.Chapter 2:modern Chinese semi-affixes and human semi-affixes.This Chapter dealt with the lower concept of human semi-affixes under the general category of semi-affixes.First of all,this chapter discussed the concept and features of semi-affixes.According to the semanteme,semi-suffixes are di-vided into four categories.This part leads to the discussion on the concept of human semi-affixes.Next,I have determined the amount and classification of human semi-affixes based on the data statistics,data collation and data analysis.Chapter 3:The study on the features of modern Chinese human semi-affixes.This chapter researched as well as analyzed word formation,semanteme and productivity of human semi-affixes.It aims at defining the features of semi-affixes.Chapter 4:Modern Chinese human semi-affixes on teaching Chinese as a foreign language.First of all,it summarized the occurrence of human semi-affixes in Syllabus of Chinese Proficiency Level of Vocabulary and Grammar and International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education·Then analyzed the errors of foreign learners when they are using human semi-affixes and classified these errors.This part is based on HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of Beijing Language University.Meanwhile,I also analyzed the causes of these errors so that I can give some suggestions on textbook compilation and teaching human semi-affixes.Chapter 5:Conclusion.Make a brief summary of this thesis and point out the shortage of the thesis.
